The Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee has issued Plan No. 114/KH-UBND to promote the digital economy across key sectors, targeting substantial progress by the end of 2025.
Key goals
Digital economy to account for 20 per cent of GRDP
At least 10 per cent digital economy share in each sector
E-commerce to exceed 10 per cent of total retail sales
Labor productivity to grow by a minimum of 7 per cent annually
Over 50 per cent of SMEs to adopt digital platforms
80 per cent of people aged 15+ to have a bank or e-payment account
50 per cent of adults to own a digital or electronic signature
80 per cent of adults to have a VNeID digital identity account
Tasks
Utilize the national digital economy measurement portal (kinhteso.ptit.edu.vn)
Conduct annual assessments and publish results
Guide businesses and individuals in self-evaluating digital readiness
Pilot digital transformation assessments in selected localities for wider replication
Promote digital transformation in five priority sectors: E-commerce, Smart Tourism, Smart Agriculture, Smart Manufacturing, and Smart Logistics
Integrate IoT into essential infrastructure (agriculture, utilities, smart cities), and expand IoT coverage (4G/5G IoT, NB-IoT, LTE-M)
Roll out digital infrastructure and training programs, including the “Digital Literacy for All” initiative via open online platforms (MOOCs)
Support citizens and businesses in adopting digital tools like e-payments, e-signatures, and smart applications
The province also calls for weekly media features on successful digital transformation stories and encourages recognition of outstanding individuals and organizations leading in digital economy development and innovation.
