On May 23, in Sekong Province, Lao PDR, the Consulate General of Việt Nam in Pakse coordinated with Sekong Province, Lao PDR, to organize the Trade, Investment, and Tourism Promotion Forum to promote the development of the East-West Economic Corridor 2025. The forum was organized in both in-person and online formats.

The forum was attended by representatives from localities and enterprises in four provinces of Southern Laos, representatives of the government and enterprises from 15 provinces and four cities in Việt Nam with cooperative relations with the four provinces of Southern Laos, and representatives from the government and enterprises of Ubon Ratchathani province (Thailand).
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office, relevant departments, agencies, and representatives of enterprises attended the forum at the Quảng Ngãi bridge point.

At the forum, representatives from the provinces of Việt Nam, Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia introduced their potential, strengths, and preferential policies to attract investment.
They also proposed cooperation initiatives in the fields of trade and tourism, discussed and agreed on strategies and solutions to enhance cooperation efficiency and promote activities in tourism, trade, and investment along the East-West Economic Corridor.
In the framework of the Forum, the “Việt Nam-Laos, Laos-Việt Nam Trade and Tourism Fair 2025” also took place from May 21-23, 2025, at the Sekong Provincial Trade Center.
This event provides an opportunity for businesses to promote and showcase cultural and tourism products, as well as local OCOP agricultural offerings such as agricultural products, processed foods, electronics, household appliances, machinery and equipment for agricultural production, wooden furniture, handicrafts, consumer goods, and tourism services.
