Quảng Ngãi, May 28 - Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee (PPC), and Head of Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee’s Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Project 06 (the PPC’s Steering Committee), Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, chaired its first official meeting.
According to the Department of Science and Technology, the PPC’s Steering Committee has actively concretized guiding resolutions into programs, action plans, and specific directives.
Many agencies, including the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Home Affairs, and the Provincial Police, have submitted specialized plans to implement assigned tasks.
The province has significantly invested in infrastructure for science, technology, and digital transformation.
It has deployed 24 information systems and databases across state agencies, with nearly 60 systems currently in operation. Among these, 20 systems are connected to national and ministerial databases.
The province has also completed integration of its administrative procedure system with the National Population Database.
5G services have been commercially launched in urban and industrial areas.
The province operates three main data centers and utilizes enterprise infrastructure for major platforms, including the Provincial Administrative Procedure System and the Document Management and Administration System.
Over 700 online public services are now integrated with the National Public Service Portal and those of relevant ministries.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang commended the proactive efforts made in science, innovation, digital transformation, Project 06, and administrative reform.
He instructed provincial departments and localities to follow the PPC’s Steering Committee 2025 Work Plan (Plan No. 02/KH-BCĐ dated May 15, 2025).
Regarding administrative reform, Chairman Giang urged a thorough review of current practices to address shortcomings affecting key indexes such as PAR INDEX, SIPAS, and PAPI.
For Project 06, the Department of Agriculture and Environment was tasked with completing land data digitization in remaining districts (by June 30, 2025) and cleansing over 367,000 records for integration with the National Population Database.
The Provincial Police must ensure 100 per cent of enterprises will receive digital identity accounts to conduct administrative procedures electronically by July 1, 2025.
All agencies are required to register at least one initiative related to science, innovation, digital transformation, or administrative reform for approval within 2025.
