Tasks and solutions were required as follows:
Promote propaganda, dissemination of legal provisions related to the work of preventing and combating riverbank and coastal erosion to enhance awareness, compliance with the law of organizations, individuals, and communities living along rivers and coasts;
Handle violations (if any) regarding the protection of riverbanks, coasts, especially construction of houses, structures along rivers, on rivers, and illegal sand and gravel exploitation in riverbeds, coasts leading to increased risk of riverbank and coastal erosion;
Strictly manage the use and development of saltwater intrusion associated with the livelihood stability of the people;
Effectively control and prevent livelihood activities that degrade the coastal salt marshes;
Inspect, review, classify areas of riverbank and coastal erosion, prioritize and mobilize resources for implementation;
Organize the relocation of households living in areas with erosion, especially those with particularly dangerous erosion to ensure the safety of people and their property;
Summarize models of mobilizing resources to build embankments to prevent erosion and protect riverbanks and coasts with multiple objectives as a basis for replication, reducing pressure on the state budget;
Review households living in areas with erosion or at high risk of erosion;
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) is responsible for monitoring, urging and guiding agencies, units and localities to implement the Plan;
DARD will summarize and report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Provincial People's Committee as prescribed.
