On the morning of December 16, the 1st Congress of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union of Quảng Ngãi Province for the 2025–2030 term officially opened.
Attending the Congress were Nguyễn Minh Triết, Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union and President of the Việt Nam National Union of Students; Nguyễn Thái An, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Youth Union.
Provincial leaders included Hồ Văn Niên, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee; Y Ngọc, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee; former provincial leaders, former Secretaries of the Provincial Youth Union, leaders of departments, sectors, localities. 250 official delegates attended the Congress.
During the 2022-2025 term, the provincial Youth Union activities and movements recorded significant achievements across various fields, contributing positively to socio-economic development and creating a favorable environment for young people to study, train, and take the lead in innovation and national development.
The Youth Union at all levels effectively implemented three major movements: “Youth Volunteer,” “Creative Youth,” and “Youth Taking the Lead in Defending the Fatherland,” attracting more than 900,000 youth members.
Numerous programs supporting young people were carried out, including scholarships, talent recognition, and youth welfare initiatives. Social programs such as “For Our Beloved Children” were implemented widely, resulting in the construction of houses, sanitation facilities, and community support projects.
International youth cooperation continued to expand in depth and quality, contributing positively to people-to-people diplomacy.
During the term, 11,943 outstanding youth members were introduced to Party committees, with 4,351 new Party members admitted.
Addressing the Congress, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hồ Văn Niên highly appreciated the achievements of the Youth Union in the 2022-2025 period, and emphasized the pioneering, innovative, and vanguard role of youth in the context of deeper international integration.

He called on Youth Union organizations to focus on three breakthroughs: renewing operational methods, effectively implementing action programs linked to Party Congress resolutions, and leading in learning, scientific research, innovation, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship.
On behalf of the Central Youth Union Secretariat, Nguyễn Minh Triết commended the achievements of Quảng Ngãi’s youth and emphasized the Youth Union’s role as a unifying force, fostering solidarity among young people across the province and inspiring their aspiration to contribute to the development of the new Quảng Ngãi Province.

The Congress announced the decision of the Central Youth Union Secretariat appointing the Executive Committee of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union of Quảng Ngãi Province (first term, 2025–2030) with 39 members, including 13 members of the Standing Committee. Nguyễn Văn Mạnh was appointed to continue serving as Secretary, with Trần Đăng Minh, Y Việt Sa, and Hồ Thị Thu Thanh as Deputy Secretaries.

The Congress also announced the Decision appointing the delegation to attend the 13th National Congress of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union (2026-2031).
