Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien has just signed Official Dispatch No. 71/UBND-NC directing the implementation of urgent solutions in fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue work on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 in the province.
Heads of departments, agencies, socio-political organizations of the province, Central agencies located in the province, Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, towns and cities were asked to:
- Seriously organize and direct resolutely and effectively the Central and Provincial directions on fire prevention and fighting and rescue and relief work in the province.
- Regularly inspect, supervise and seriously review the responsibility of relevant collectives and individuals who lack responsibility when major fires occur, causing serious damage to people and property in the area and field under their responsibility.
- Strengthen propaganda and guidance on mass media on fire prevention and fighting, especially fire prevention and fighting, and escape skills for people in case of fire or explosion.
- Strengthen self-inspection of fire safety at agency and unit headquarters; absolutely do not let fires and explosions occur in headquarters, especially before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025.
- Coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to organize fire safety and rescue inspections at units with fire and explosion risks, markets, shopping malls, karaoke bars, and crowded places.
- Inspect and guide measures to ensure safety when using electricity in households and residential areas with high risk of fire and explosion.
Funtional departments
The Department of Construction will oversee agencies issuing construction permits and properly inspect for various building types. They will also enforce fire safety regulations and crack down on illegal construction activities.
The Department of Industry and Trade shall oversee production and business activities to ensure safety in electricity use, focusing on high-risk areas like markets and shopping centers. They shall also enforce regulations and handle violations related to electricity use.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall promote fire prevention and fighting, with a focus on forest fires, fire safety for ship and boat owners, and shall work with grassroots and civil defense forces to protect security and order.
The Department of Education and Training shall work closely with the Provincial Police to promote fire prevention and fighting in schools. They shall focus on involving form teachers, parents, and students in signing commitments to follow regulations, especially those related to the use of fireworks.
The Department of Information and Communications shall direct news agencies to raise the awareness of fire prevention laws and provide guidance on what to do in case of fires or explosions. They shall also work with telecommunication providers to send out regular text messages to mobile subscribers about fire prevention laws and common violations.
The Authority of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks shall coordinate with the Provincial Police to strengthen the management of fire prevention and fighting work for facilities under its management authority in Dung Quat Economic Zone and industrial parks, and shall regularly coordinate inspection, propaganda, and supervision.
