The Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee has issued directives to enhance food safety during the Mid-Autumn Festival 2025, aiming to prevent food poisoning and protect consumers’ rights and health.

The Department of Health, in coordination with the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and relevant agencies, has been tasked with conducting inspections of food production and business establishments, focusing on facilities and companies producing and trading mooncakes, confectionery, beverages, traditional foods, as well as food service businesses and street vendors.
Authorities are required to promptly trace and recall unsafe products, strictly handle violations, and publicize information on offenders through mass media in accordance with the law.
Public awareness campaigns will also be strengthened to guide businesses and consumers in ensuring safe food practices during the festival.
In addition, plans and resources for emergency response have been prepared, including medical teams, equipment, and chemicals to treat food poisoning cases, investigate causes promptly, and issue community warnings.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Department of Industry and Trade will oversee compliance and raise accountability among producers and traders.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Police, Border Guard Command, and Customs Office Zone 12 will intensify efforts to detect and prevent the circulation of counterfeit or unidentified food products in the province.
The People’s Committees of communes, wards, and special zones are tasked with conducting local inspections, particularly at small-scale and village-based food businesses, and ensuring timely action against violations.
