QUẢNG NGÃI — The provincial People’s Committee has issued directives for activities marking National Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Day on October 4.
Authorities, agencies and localities have been tasked with raising awareness through banners, broadcasts and community events from September 29 to October 15.
Inspections of fire safety facilities will be stepped up, along with training and drills for on-site firefighting and rescue forces.
The campaign emphasizes the “four on-the-spot” principle — local forces, local equipment, local logistics and local command — to strengthen community preparedness.
The province will also promote competitions, reward good practices and highlight role models in fire safety.
Police, military and media outlets will coordinate to intensify inspections, enforce regulations, and provide practical guidance on fire prevention and escape skills, especially at high-risk sites such as factories, high-rise buildings and crowded public areas.
