QUẢNG NGÃI — The Quảng Ngãi People’s Committee has issued Decision No. 109/QD-UBND on monthly electricity subsidies for poor households and social policy beneficiaries in the province.
Under the decision, each eligible household will receive a monthly electricity subsidy of VNĐ 64,000. If there are any changes to the value-added tax rate for household electricity, the subsidy will be adjusted accordingly in line with the prevailing VAT rate.
Commune and Ward-level People’s Committees are tasked with distributing the subsidies promptly and in compliance with regulations.
The Department of Finance will take the lead, in coordination with the Departments of Health and Agriculture and Environment, in determining the funding for the subsidies and advising competent authorities on budget allocation.
The decision takes effect from October 3, 2025. For localities that formerly belonged to the old Quảng Ngãi province, the policy will be applied from May 10, 2025.
