Provincial leaders reward two collectives and 10 individuals from the Provincial Border Guard Command
QUẢNG NGÃI — Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Đức Tâm has commended and rewarded two collectives and 10 individuals from the Provincial Border Guard Command for their role in a major drug trafficking crackdown.
The forces seized 28.8 kilograms of drugs and arrested two suspects while they were transporting the drugs across the border at around 9:50 p.m. on August 21, 2026, in Dục Nông Commune.
Speaking at the commendation ceremony on August 29, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm praised the forces’ vigilance, professionalism and coordination.
He urged the Border Guard Command to closely monitor border areas, strengthen patrols and inspections, and work with relevant agencies to dismantle organized and transnational drug trafficking networks.
He also called for stronger cooperation with border communities and increased public awareness campaigns to encourage local residents to help safeguard national security.
The Chairman asked officers and soldiers to remain vigilant and ready to prevent and combat drug-related crime, contributing to security and social order in the province’s border areas.
