Provincial leaders present the provincial-level historical relic recognition certificate for the “Dượng Bảy” site to Sơn Tây Thượng Commune
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm emphasized that the recognition honors the historical contributions and sacrifices of generations of officials, soldiers and Ca Dong ethnic people during the revolutionary cause.

Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm speaks at the ceremony
He requested relevant departments and Sơn Tây Thượng Commune to strengthen preservation and management, complete protection boundaries at Nước Min, Huy Em and Huy Ra Long, and ensure the quality and progress of the memorial stele.
The locality was also asked to promote the relic for traditional education and connect it with tourism and local livelihoods.
Sơn Tây Thượng should also promote science- and technology-based agriculture, develop Queen pineapple and coffee production, and improve production-consumption linkages and agricultural value.
Established in 1961 under the codename “Dượng Bảy”, the Provincial Party Committee’s Economic and Financial Affairs Board was responsible for logistics, finance and food self-sufficiency to support the resistance war.
In the Mang Bloọc area, now Nước Min, Huy Em and Huy Ra Long, cadres and Ca Dong people worked together to reclaim land, develop wet-rice cultivation, irrigation, farming and livestock raising. From 1961 to 1963, the area became a self-sufficient production base supplying food for troops, local people and revolutionary agencies. The model was later expanded across western Quảng Ngãi.
“Dượng Bảy” also contributed to improving production methods and livelihoods in the highlands, becoming a symbol of self-reliance, resilience and military-civilian solidarity.
On August 17, 2026, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee issued Decision No. 2082 recognizing the site as a provincial-level historical relic.
