Reportedly, in the first six months of 2025, economic diplomacy has been proactively and comprehensively implemented, contributing significantly to national development goals.

The diplomatic sector has seen stronger institutionalization, more political coordination, and close collaboration among central ministries and local authorities.

High-level diplomatic activities have been vibrant, reinforcing and deepening Việt Nam’s relations with partners based on trust, sincerity, and mutual benefit.

In just six months, Việt Nam welcomed nearly as many international delegations as in the entire year of 2024, signing over 200 agreements and upgrading relations with 10 countries.

Since the beginning of the term, 10 out of 13 strategic partnerships have been elevated.

Besides enhancing traditional growth drivers such as trade, investment, tourism, and labor cooperation with key partners in Northeast Asia, Europe, and the Americas, diplomatic missions have actively explored new and potential markets.

In his closing speech, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính commended the significant contributions of Việt Nam's overseas missions and urged them to further promote trade, investment, science and technology, education, and culture.

He also called on the diplomatic sector to enhance policy advisory efforts, with a focus on long-term strategic research.

In the coming time, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of prioritizing economic growth, revitalizing traditional growth drivers, and accelerating the development of new ones.

He particularly emphasized attracting high-quality foreign direct investment (FDI), especially in high-tech and large-scale projects with high added value.

At the same time, he encouraged support for Vietnamese enterprises in expanding exports, investing abroad, and integrating more deeply into global supply chains.

To effectively implement the Politburo’s Resolution No. 59 on international integration in the new context, the Prime Minister tasked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with drafting a National Assembly resolution to establish special mechanisms for accelerating this process.
