The People’s Committee of Quảng Ngãi Province has issued a plan to organize a series of activities to welcome the New Year 2026, in conjunction with the Măng Đen Culture and Tourism Week and the Cherry Blossom Season 2026.
The events aim to create a joyful and festive atmosphere for the public to celebrate the New Year, welcome the glorious Communist Party of Việt Nam, celebrate Spring 2026, and commemorate the 96th anniversary of the Party’s founding (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026).
According to the plan, the activities will be conducted in a solemn, practical, efficient, safe, and economical manner, while ensuring political security, public order and safety, environmental sanitation, and food safety.
A highlight of the event series is the New Year 2026 Art Program, scheduled for the evening of December 31, 2025, at Phạm Văn Đồng Square (Cẩm Thành Ward) and March 16 Square (Kon Tum Ward), under the theme “Quảng Ngãi – Welcoming New Year 2026 – The Breath of the Great Highlands.”
In addition, the Măng Đen Culture and Tourism Week and Cherry Blossom Season 2026 are expected to take place from January 1 to January 4, 2026, in Măng Đen Commune, featuring a wide range of activities such as the opening ceremony (broadcast live on VTV8 and QNgTV), the hot air balloon festival “Flying Over Cherry Blossoms,” sports activities combined with tourism promotion, an OCOP food fair, Măng Đen eco-tourism tours, and the closing ceremony of the event series.
The Provincial People’s Committee has assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to take the lead, in coordination with relevant departments, agencies, and localities, in organizing the events, while strengthening information dissemination, communication, and promotion to attract residents and visitors.
