On December 20, on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Việt Nam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 – December 22, 2025) and the 36th anniversary of the All-People’s National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 – December 22, 2025), Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee Y Ngọc paid a visit and presented gifts to Hero of the People’s Armed Forces A Xâu in Đăk Pék Commune.

Hero of the People’s Armed Forces A Xâu (born in 1944), of the Gié–Triêng ethnic group, was a brave commando soldier of Military Region 5 during the resistance war against the United States.
From the age of 14, he joined the commune guerrilla force, fought alongside local troops in many areas, and achieved numerous feats of arms, contributing significantly to the cause of national liberation.
He remains a source of pride for his homeland and a vivid example of resilience, patriotism, and revolutionary tradition.
On behalf of the provincial leadership, Standing Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc extended her warm regards and best wishes for good health to Hero A Xâu, expressing deep gratitude for his outstanding contributions and sacrifices for the nation.
She expressed her hope that Hero of the People’s Armed Forces A Xâu and his family would continue to uphold and promote revolutionary traditions, serving as a moral inspiration for younger generations.
She also requested the Party committees and local authorities of Đăk Pék Commune to continue effectively implementing policies for people with meritorious service, ensuring proper care for the material and spiritual well-being of policy beneficiary families in the locality.
