On December 9, after the Government’s online meeting on implementing the “Quang Trung Campaign” to rebuild and repair houses damaged by natural disasters, Vice Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee Đỗ Tâm Hiển chaired a meeting with local departments and authorities to accelerate progress.

Reported by the Department of Agriculture and Environment, recent storms and floods have damaged houses across 84 communes and wards, with 58 houses completely collapsed, 115 severely damaged, 409 heavily damaged, and 1,021 partially damaged.

The province has issued a detailed plan to rebuild and repair affected houses, supported by the provincial Relief Fund, including VNĐ 60 million per household for collapsed houses, VNĐ 30 million for severely damaged houses, and VNĐ 15 million for heavily damaged houses.
So far, 29 of 58 new houses have been completed, 12 are under construction, and 17 have not yet started. Repairs have been finished on 66 severely damaged houses, while work continues on the remaining 49. Local forces have mobilized resources to complete repairs on houses with 30–50 per cent damage.
Vice Chairman Đỗ Tâm Hiển emphasized that Quảng Ngãi aims to finish rebuilding new houses for families who lost their houses before January 20, 2026, and complete repairs on damaged houses by December 31, 2025.
He directed all localities to begin simultaneous construction and repair on December 12, ensuring safe, cozy places for residents to welcome Lunar New Year 2026.
