Quảng Ngãi - July 20, Phạm Văn Đồng High School held a ceremony to celebrate its 50th anniversary (1975–2025).

In his speech, Principal Nguyễn Văn Sanh reviewed the school’s 50-year journey of development.

Founded in 1975 as Nam Đàn High School, it was renamed Mộ Đức No.1 High School in 1982, and has proudly carried the name of the late Prime Minister Phạm Văn Đồng since 2010.

The school is now recognized as one of the province’s most prestigious and high-achieving institutions.

From its humble beginnings with 10 classrooms, 15 teachers, and over 400 students, the school now educates more than 1,100 students annually.

Over 50 per cent of its teachers have received provincial-level titles for excellent teachers, and more than 15 per cent hold postgraduate degrees. The school consistently ranks among the top in the province for university admissions.

Over the years, the school has actively innovated its teaching methods, building a modern, friendly, and humane learning environment.

It was recognized as a national standard school in 2012 and continues to maintain this status in its second phase.

The school received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2016 and another from the Ministry of Education and Training in 2025, honoring its contributions to education.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền congratulated the school and praised the efforts of generations of teachers and students.

He emphasized that in today’s era of technology, digital transformation, and global integration, education must equip students not only with knowledge and values, but also with the ability to learn, adapt, and take charge of the future.

He expressed confidence that Phạm Văn Đồng High School will continue to build on its proud legacy to become a model of excellence, innovation, and human-centered education.

He encouraged students to dream big and strive to grow every day—not just for grades, but for a better future for themselves, their families, and the country.

Quảng Ngãi Province is entering a new phase of development, aiming to become a dynamic, creative, and sustainable province, a modern center for industry and services.

In this journey, education remains at the heart—because people are the most valuable resource.

The province is committed to investing in education, both in infrastructure and policies, and hopes that schools like Phạm Văn Đồng High School will continue to nurture generations of students who are not only knowledgeable but also compassionate and ambitious.
