On September 19, Vice Chairwoman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee, Y Ngọc, met with and commended athletes and coaches for their outstanding achievements at the 17th World Wushu Championships 2025, held in Brazil.
At this year’s event, the Việt Nam Wushu Team won seven medals, including two gold, two silver, and three bronze, reaffirming its strong position on the international stage. Among them, Quảng Ngãi’s representative, 19-year-old Đinh Văn Tâm, had an excellent performance and won a silver medal in the men’s 52 kg category.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc praised Đinh Văn Tâm’s determination and the dedication of his coaching team. She emphasized that his success is not only a source of pride for Quảng Ngãi but also contributes to enhancing Việt Nam’s standing in international sports.
On this occasion, Đinh Văn Tâm was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee for his silver medal, while coach Phạm Quốc Anh received a Certificate of Merit for his direct role in training the athlete.
