Quảng Ngãi, June 18- Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính chaired a national online conference on the organization of the 2025 High School Graduation Examination.

At the Quảng Ngãi provincial bridge point, the meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, and Vice Chairman Võ Phiên.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the exam will take place on June 26–27, 2025, and is the first to be implemented under the 2018 General Education Curriculum.

The exam must also accommodate students under the 2006 curriculum who have yet graduated or are retaking the exam, making this year's preparations particularly demanding.

Students under the 2018 curriculum will sit for three exam sessions: Literature, Mathematics, and one elective session consisting of two subjects from a list including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Civic Education, Information Technology, Technology, and Foreign Languages (English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean).

Students under the 2006 curriculum will take four exam sessions: Literature, Mathematics, a Natural or Social Science test, and a Foreign Language test.

This year’s exam involves over 1.1 million students nationwide at 2,493 exam sites with over 50,000 exam rooms and the deployment of about 200,000 personnel, including teachers, police, military, health workers, and utility staff.

In Quảng Ngãi, 14,517 candidates have registered for the exam.

The province has arranged 36 exam sites with 642 exam rooms and mobilized 2,352 personnel.

Preparations—including human resources, facilities, security, healthcare, electricity, and communication—have been essentially completed.

The Provincial People’s Committee has issued directives requiring coordinated efforts to ensure the exam is conducted seriously, safely, and in accordance with regulations.

Addressing the conference, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính emphasized the significance of the high school graduation exam as a key milestone in students’ lives and a gateway to higher education and career opportunities.

He stressed that exam results not only reflect students’ academic efforts but also determine graduation and university admission eligibility.

The Prime Minister urged all ministries, sectors, and localities—especially grassroots authorities—to make thorough, focused preparations to ensure the exam is conducted safely, transparently, fairly, and efficiently.

He called for optimal conditions for all candidates and full participation of the political system to ensure the exam’s overall success.
