In the 2023-2024 school year, the province's education and training work achieved encouraging results. Some indicators on investment in education development increased significantly compared to the 2023-2024 school year.
The province has 420 schools meeting national standards, including 124/206 kindergartens, 132/150 primary schools, 116/128 secondary schools, 21/53 primary - secondary schools, and 27/39 high schools.
In the 2023-2024 school year, 49 students in Quang Ngai province won prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition, an increase of 31 prizes compared to the 2022-2023 school year.
The rate of students passing the high school graduation exam in 2024 is 98.38%, an increase of 1.11% compared to 2023.
Speaking at the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Hoang Tuan, acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the efforts of the leadership, civil servants, public employees, and teachers of the education sector for the results achieved in the 2023-2024 school year.
Tuan requested the education sector and localities to prepare well the conditions to effectively implement the tasks of the new school year 2024-2025.
The education sector is requested to continue deploying solutions to improve the sense of responsibility and leadership capacity of management staff, especially heads of agencies and units, promoting inspection, supervision and monitoring of exams and competitions to ensure fairness, objectivity and compliance with regulations.
The PPC’s Standing Vice Chairman requested the sector to continue innovating teaching methods, focusing on educating personality, ethics, lifestyle, diversifying learning forms, ensuring school safety and school hygiene.
In addition, it’s necessary to effectively implement the Project on enhancing the application of IT and digital transformation in education and training, contributing to the development of digital technology in management, teaching, learning, meeting the requirements of comprehensive innovation in education and training. Additionally, they should improve the quality of human resources, and create comprehensive development in the education sector.
