On August 31, at the Sao Mai Industrial Park (Đăk Rơ Wa commune, Quảng Ngãi province), Sao Mai Agricultural Processing Joint Stock Company held the inauguration ceremony of the Sao Mai Agricultural and Herbal Processing Plant.

The event was organized in celebration of the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Việt Nam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025) and the 1st Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Congress, term 2025–2030.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Đức Tuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, and representatives from ministries, central agencies, and the Provincial Party Standing Committee.
The plant, located on Lot N-18 of the Sao Mai Industrial Park, covers more than 50,000 square meters with a total investment of VNĐ 500 billion. Equipped with modern, internationally standardized production lines, it is designed to process 10,000 tons of fruit annually, generating projected revenues of US$ 100 million per year and creating hundreds of local jobs.
Key products include fruit juice, concentrated juice, fresh and dried fruit, as well as fruit and herbal wines.
Alongside the factory, the company is developing a 2,000-hectare raw material area in Quảng Ngãi, focusing on passion fruit, pineapple, mango, and guava.
The operation of the plant will establish a value chain linking farmers and enterprises, from cultivation and purchasing to processing and consumption.
This will enhance the value of local agricultural products, create jobs - particularly for ethnic minority communities and contribute to the province’s budget while promoting sustainable socio-economic development in Quảng Ngãi and the Central Highlands.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang praised the company’s determination and efforts in implementing the project.

He urged the enterprise to ensure stable operations, secure raw material supply, diversify products, maintain sustainable market demand, and strictly comply with environmental protection and local obligations.
He affirmed that the provincial authorities will continue to accompany and support investors, promptly addressing difficulties to facilitate stable, long-term business operations. “The success of investors is also the success of Quảng Ngãi,” he emphasized.
