On the afternoon of November 17, Nguyễn Công Hoàng, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, together with leaders of relevant departments, agencies and localities, conducted an on-site inspection of the progress of the road project connecting Thạch Bích Bridge to Tịnh Phong.
The project has a total length of 6.11km, running through Trương Quang Trọng Ward and Thọ Phong Commune.
It has been implemented since 2019 and is scheduled for completion in 2025.
To date, 61 per cent of the site clearance for the entire route has been handed over. Of this, Trương Quang Trọng Ward has completed 82 per cent of site handover, while Thọ Phong Commune has reached 39.5 per cent.
Construction value completed so far accounts for 51.3 per cent of the contract.
In the coming period, relevant agencies and units will continue accelerating construction on sections where the site has been cleared, aiming to reach 53 per cent of the contract value by December 31, 2025.
The project is currently facing obstacles related to site clearance, including 0.52km remaining in Trương Quang Trọng Ward, 1.85km in Thọ Phong Commune, and one resettlement area that has not yet completed land clearance.
Vice Chairman Nguyễn Công Hoàng stressed that the road connecting Thạch Bích Bridge to Tịnh Phong is a key project of significant importance.
Once completed, it will enhance regional connectivity, facilitate local travel, and reduce traffic pressure on National Highway 1—especially the section from Trương Quang Trọng Ward to Thọ Phong Commune and the VSIP Industrial Park—while contributing to socio-economic development in the area.
He requested the investor and related agencies to work closely to resolve site clearance difficulties and hand over land to ensure faster construction progress.
He instructed Trương Quang Trọng Ward and Thọ Phong Commune to urgently complete site clearance and transfer land to the construction unit.
For agricultural land plots where compensation plans have been prepared and appraised, ensuring residents’ rights, he requested prompt approval and implementation of land recovery and handover.
For residential land plots in Trương Quang Trọng Ward eligible for resettlement, the investor and local authorities must quickly organise allocation of lots at the Tịnh Ấn Tây resettlement area—where infrastructure is already completed—so that affected households can relocate and hand over land for the project.
Regarding residential plots in Thọ Phong Commune, he called for accelerated construction of the Vườn Làng and Rộc Ông Xã resettlement areas to arrange relocation for households, recover land and hand over sites for construction.
The Vice Chairman also requested the Provincial Land Fund Development Centre to expedite the preparation and submission of compensation, support and resettlement plans.
All remaining compensation plans must be completed, appraised, approved, compensated and land recovered within December 2025 in accordance with regulations.
