On September 7, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee U Huấn worked with the Đăk Tô Commune Party Committee on Party building, socio-economic development, national defense and security during the first eight months of 2026 and key tasks ahead.

Reportedly, Đăk Tô achieved positive results in Party building and socio-economic development. Following the administrative reorganization, the commune quickly stabilized its organization and reduced the number of hamlets from 31 to 22. Personnel planning, political theory training, digital transformation in Party affairs and mass mobilization were strengthened, while social welfare policies were effectively implemented.
The commune maintained stable economic management and promoted its potential in land, natural resources, agriculture, forestry, industry and culture. The provincial and commune authorities are accelerating the Đăk Tờ Kan River Erosion Prevention Embankment Project and the restoration of the Đăk Tô - Tân Cảnh Victory Historical Site, while promoting agricultural and eco-tourism projects.
Đăk Tô currently has two approved industrial clusters. The April 24 Industrial-Service Cluster has basically completed its infrastructure, attracting 78 establishments with an occupancy rate of 76.7 per cent. The Western Đăk Tô Town Industrial Cluster is completing essential infrastructure.
The commune still faces difficulties in land management, site clearance, investment projects, staffing and policies for officials. It proposed that the provincial authorities support the construction of a centralized wastewater treatment plant at the former Western Đăk Tô Town Industrial Cluster.
Concluding the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee U Huấn emphasized Đăk Tô’s significant potential in agriculture, forestry, industry and its strategic connectivity to the border area, particularly Bờ Y International Border Gate.
