Nguyễn Đức Tâm, Deputy Minister of Finance, has been appointed Deputy Secretary of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee .

On July 27, at the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee headquarters, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Trịnh Mạnh Linh presented the Secretariat's decision on personnel appointments.
Under the decision, Nguyễn Đức Tâm was appointed to the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term.
Speaking after receiving the appointment decision, Nguyễn Đức Tâm described Quảng Ngãi as a province with significant strategic advantages. Situated within the Việt Nam–Laos–Cambodia Development Triangle and serving as a gateway to the East Sea along the East–West Economic Corridor, the province is well positioned to foster regional connectivity and economic growth. He noted that the province's diverse geography, ranging from mountainous and highland areas to plains, coastal zones and islands, offers substantial potential for socio-economic development.

He pledged to uphold the principles of democratic centralism, stay close to the people and grassroots communities, and promptly address public concerns. He also affirmed his commitment to helping formulate practical policies that align with both development goals and the aspirations of local people.
Born in 1981 in Hưng Yên Province, Nguyễn Đức Tâm holds a master's degree in economics. He began his career at the former Ministry of Planning and Investment in 2003 and has held a number of senior positions, including Director General of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy and Director General of the Department of National Economic Issues.
He was appointed Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment in October 2024 and has served as Deputy Minister of Finance since the merger of the two ministries in early 2025.
