On July 25, the Executive Board of the Việt Nam Buddhist Sangha of Quảng Ngãi Province solemnly held a requiem ceremony for fallen heroes at Kon Tum Martyrs' Cemetery in Đăk Cấm Ward, commemorating the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – 2026).

The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Nguyễn Bá Lực, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Việt Nam People's Army; Major General Trần Thanh Hải, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyễn Đức Tuy; Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Search, Recovery and Identification of Martyrs' Remains Y Ngọc; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm; former leaders of the former Kon Tum Province, along with representatives of provincial agencies, Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns, followers and local residents.
Held in a solemn atmosphere, the ceremony featured floral tributes, requiem prayers for fallen heroes, and prayers for national peace, prosperity and development.

Addressing the event, Standing Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc highlighted the significance of the nationwide 500-Day Campaign to accelerate the search, recovery and identification of martyrs' remains. She described the campaign as not only a major political task but also "a mission from the heart", reflecting the nation's enduring tradition of gratitude and the responsibility of the Party, the State and the people toward those who sacrificed for national independence and defense.
