Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang on the afternoon of December 3 chaired a meeting to review the recent direction and administration efforts of the provincial government, as well as to outline priority tasks for the coming period.
According to reports, between November 25 and December 1, provincial leaders focused on decisive governance to drive socio-economic development and safeguard national defence and security, while effectively implementing conclusions and directives issued by the central government and the Provincial Party Standing Committee.
The Provincial People’s Committee issued a number of important documents and decisions related to socio-economic development, public asset management, the State budget, national target programmes, administrative procedures, public investment and disaster prevention.
The Chairman and Vice Chairpersons also convened multiple meetings to address key provincial matters.
Socio-economic conditions across the province remained stable, with production, trade and services operating normally.
As of November 30, provincial budget revenue reached about VNĐ 31.118 trillion, equivalent to 83.7 per cent of the assigned estimate.
Public investment disbursement stood at 62.9 per cent of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister; excluding newly allocated central budget capital, the disbursement rate reached 65.4 per cent.
At the meeting, the Vice Chairpersons reviewed progress made in their assigned sectors and proposed solutions to enhance proactivity, ensure progress and improve the quality of task implementation by departments, sectors and localities, as well as by the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee.
In his conclusion, Chairman Giang commended the responsibility and initiative demonstrated by the leadership and staff of the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee in supporting the provincial administration’s socio-economic, defence and security directives.
He urged the Office to maintain a high sense of responsibility, closely follow assigned tasks and provide timely advice to provincial leaders to ensure effective handling of socio-economic and security-related duties.
He requested continued monitoring of progress by departments and sectors, strong measures to boost socio-economic development, acceleration of public investment disbursement.
Chairman Giang asked to enhance investment attraction, implementation of social housing projects, and tasks related to adjustments to the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Planning for 2021–2030 with a vision to 2050.
The Chairman also directed preparations for the 2026 New Year Art Programme, as well as the Măng Đen Culture and Tourism Week and Cherry Blossom Festival 2026.
