According to the Vạn Tường Commune Party Committee, after the administrative merger of six former communes, the local government apparatus has been consolidated and has been operating in a unified manner since July 1, 2025.

Over the past six months, Vạn Tường has achieved positive outcomes across sectors, including culture, education, healthcare, sports, and social welfare.

Key tourism sites such as Bàu Cá Cái, Gành Yến, and Cà Ninh nipa palm forest have attracted large numbers of visitors. Traditional festivals such as boat racing, whale worship, Bài Chòi, and Bả Trạo singing have been vibrantly revived.

Health insurance coverage in the commune has reached over 93 per cent, and healthcare and epidemic prevention have been effectively implemented.

The education sector has been strengthened, with 17 schools and over 530 staff and teachers assigned.

Social welfare has also received special attention, with 74 houses built or renovated for policy beneficiaries, poor, and near-poor households.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc praised the unity and effort of local officials and residents in promoting socio-economic development, particularly in culture, health, education, and welfare.
