On August 10, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hồ Văn Niên and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Đức Tâm, together with leaders of relevant departments, agencies and localities, inspected the construction progress of inter-level primary and econdary boarding schools in the border communes of Dục Nông, Mô Rai, Sa Loong and Rờ Kơi.

The delegation inspected key construction items and heard a report from the Western Quảng Ngãi Project Management Board on progress, completed workloads and difficulties facing the projects.
Quảng Ngãi is currently building inter-level boarding schools in nine mainland border communes. Four schools in Dục Nông, Mô Rai, Sa Loong and Rờ Kơi, which were started in 2025, have reached an average completion rate of about 88.75 per cent.
Among them, the schools in Dục Nông, Sa Loong and Rờ Kơi have reached approximately 93 per cent, 88 per cent and 95 per cent, respectively. The school in Mô Rai has completed about 79 per cent of the work, with the contractor committed to completing the project by August 31, 2026. Equipment packages for all four schools are also being accelerated and are expected to be completed before August 20.

The project investor’s representative reports on the construction progress
Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm asked the Western Quảng Ngãi Project Management Board to provide weekly progress reports and accelerate construction on a rolling basis, ensuring that completed work is promptly documented for payment and disbursement while maintaining strict quality control.
Secretary Hồ Văn Niên requested the project management board and contractors to mobilize maximum manpower and equipment, work additional shifts and complete essential facilities, including classrooms, administrative areas, dormitories and common areas. Necessary items must be installed and handed over before August 25, 2026, to serve the 2026–2027 academic year.
He also emphasized the need to ensure construction safety, maintain environmental sanitation and improve school grounds and landscapes. Local authorities were asked to closely coordinate with relevant units, regularly inspect progress and prepare all necessary conditions for a safe and well-organized opening of the new academic year.
