Provincial People’s Committee reviews November 2025 performance

QUẢNG NGÃI — The Provincial People’s Committee on the afternoon of December 11 held its regular meeting for November 2025 to review socio-economic development, national defence and security performance in November and the first 11 months of the year, and to outline key tasks for December 2025.

The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, along with Vice Chairpersons Y Ngọc, Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm and Trần Phước Hiền. Participants included members of the Provincial People’s Committee and leaders of provincial departments and agencies.

To date, the Provincial People’s Committee and its Chairman have assigned 813 time-bound tasks to heads of departments and agencies and chairpersons of communes, wards and special administrative units. Of these, 730 tasks have been completed, 25 were overdue and 58 are under implementation.

Efforts have focused on streamlining the organisational apparatus, downsizing payrolls, operating the two-tier local government model, and reviewing the functions of public service units, particularly in healthcare and education. Administrative reform and digital transformation have also been stepped up.

In socio-economic terms, over the first 11 months, the industrial production index (IIP) rose by 11.67 per cent year on year, with all level-I industrial sectors recording double-digit growth.

The average consumer price index (CPI) increased by 3.22 per cent. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue were estimated at over VNĐ122.26 trillion, up 14.5 per cent and equivalent to 97 per cent of the annual plan.

Export turnover was estimated at US$2.75 billion, reaching 75.3 per cent of the target, while imports totalled about US$4.83 billion, or 87 per cent of the plan.

The province welcomed an estimated 4.6 million tourist arrivals, up 26 per cent year on year and reaching 94 per cent of the plan.

State budget revenue was estimated at over VNĐ31.24 trillion, up 8.8 per cent year on year and equivalent to 84.1 per cent of the assigned estimate.

Public investment disbursement recorded positive progress, particularly for key projects in the Dung Quất Economic Zone and industrial parks.

As of November 30, 2025, more than VNĐ4.9 trillion had been disbursed.

Cultural and social programmes were implemented in a coordinated manner, with vibrant cultural and sports activities and a focus on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values.

Social welfare policies were carried out in a timely manner, while inspection, citizen reception, complaint settlement and anti-corruption efforts were conducted in accordance with regulations.

National defence and security were strengthened, and social order and safety maintained.

During the meeting, representatives of departments, sectors and localities discussed achieved results and proposed solutions to address remaining difficulties, with a focus on public investment disbursement, site clearance and accelerating digital transformation.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang urged all sectors and localities to mobilise maximum resources and strive to fulfil assigned targets and tasks.

He stressed the need to accelerate public investment disbursement in line with committed plans, closely monitor each project, promptly resolve arising obstacles, and link disbursement results to the accountability of agency and locality heads.

The Department of Finance was tasked with consolidating and updating disbursement rates of each investor as of December 31, 2025, and advising the Provincial People’s Committee on handling cases that fail to meet commitments.

He also called for continued support for residents and businesses affected by storms and floods, ensuring social security and livelihoods, enhancing vocational training and job creation, and improving the quality of education, healthcare and cultural services, while maintaining the smooth and effective operation of the two-tier local government system.

Special attention was requested for thorough preparations for ground-breaking ceremonies of projects marking the 14ᵗʰ National Party Congress, ensuring compliance with regulations in a solemn, practical and cost-effective manner.

Relevant units were also instructed to strengthen market management, price control, anti-counterfeit measures and public security during the upcoming Lunar New Year period.
