QUẢNG NGÃI — Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, on Wednesday morning (November 5) chaired a meeting to review the provincial government’s performance in recent months and discuss key tasks for the remaining months of 2025.
Attending the meeting were Vice Chairpersons Y Ngọc, Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm, Trần Phước Hiền, and Nguyễn Công Hoàng, along with leaders of departments, agencies, and the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee.
From October 13 to November 3, the provincial leadership has focused on decisive and comprehensive direction in economic management, social development, national defense, and implementation of the Party and Government’s directives.
The Provincial People’s Committee has issued multiple documents and decisions related to socio-economic governance, administrative reorganization, public asset management, state budget, public investment, and natural disaster prevention.
In October 2025, the province’s socio-economic situation remained stable. Industrial production maintained steady growth, with the Industrial Production Index (IIP) estimated to increase by 2.72 per cent month-on-month and 8.16 per cent year-on-year.
Export turnover reached US$306 million, up 21.5 per cent from the previous month and 21.6 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Total state budget revenue was estimated at VNĐ 3.53 trillion for October, bringing cumulative 10-month revenue to VNĐ 27.99 trillion, up 6.4 per cent year-on-year and achieving 75.3 per cent of the annual target.
Disbursement of public investment capital reached 54.5 per cent of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister and 52.4 per cent of the central allocation.
Cultural, artistic, and sports activities continued to take place regularly. The education sector advanced the national campaign “For Our Beloved Border Students”, and accelerated investment preparation for new inter-level ethnic boarding schools in border communes to improve educational access for disadvantaged areas.
In the coming weeks, the Provincial People’s Committee will continue to focus on key socio-economic development tasks, inspect post-flood recovery efforts, address landslide risks, and direct responses to Typhoon No.13.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman Giang emphasized the urgency of the remaining time in 2025, urging all departments and localities to act decisively, proactively, and in close coordination to fulfill development goals.
He instructed the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee to closely monitor assigned tasks and promptly advise provincial leaders in directing socio-economic, defense, and security affairs.
He also called for stronger coordination to accelerate public investment disbursement, state budget collection, and effective management of public assets.
The Chairman further directed local agencies to closely monitor flood-prone areas, prepare for the upcoming Măng Đen Cherry Blossom Festival, strengthen measures against illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, and complete preparations for the construction of inter-level ethnic boarding schools in border communes and the upcoming sixth extraordinary session of the Provincial People’s Council.
