On August 10, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Đỗ Tâm Hiển chaired a meeting to review preparations for the 30th anniversary of Dung Quất Economic Zone.

At the meeting, the Dung Quất Economic Zone and Quảng Ngãi Industrial Parks Authority (Authority) reported on preparations for the anniversary ceremony and related events, including arrangements for delegates, accommodation, reception, logistics and transportation.
The events will include a workshop on sustainable development of Dung Quất Economic Zone and Quảng Ngãi Industrial Parks in the digital era, the groundbreaking ceremony for HD Hyundai Eco Vina’s environmentally friendly independent storage tank manufacturing plant, and a tour of Dung Quất Economic Zone.

Vice Chairman Đỗ Tâm Hiển asked the Authority to coordinate closely with relevant agencies and localities, incorporate all meeting feedback and finalize the event plan, with clear task assignments to ensure smooth and professional organization.
He requested that the list of participating delegates be finalized no later than August 12, 2026 to facilitate thoughtful reception and transportation arrangements. Meanwhile, the provincial police were tasked with developing plans to ensure security and public order throughout the events.
Relevant departments and localities were also asked to inspect infrastructure, particularly traffic routes, and promptly address any issues to ensure safe and smooth travel. Attention should also be paid to environmental sanitation and urban order around event venues and accommodation facilities.
Vice Chairman Đỗ Tâm Hiển requested that contingency power supply plans be prepared, particularly for the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, and that backup generators and electrical systems be thoroughly inspected. The health sector was instructed to strengthen food safety and hygiene inspections at hotels, restaurants and other facilities serving delegates.

The Authority was also asked to coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to finalize the cultural program for the anniversary ceremony and ensure compliance with copyright requirements and conditions for live broadcasting.
Emphasizing the importance of the event, Vice Chairman Đỗ Tâm Hiển requested all agencies and localities to carry out their assigned tasks with the highest sense of responsibility, proactively anticipate possible situations and ensure thorough preparations for the reception, accommodation and service of delegates, contributing to the successful organization of the 30th anniversary of Dung Quất Economic Zone and related events.
