QUẢNG NGÃI — Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang on Monday afternoon chaired the October 2025 regular meeting of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee to review socio-economic performance over the past ten months and set out key tasks for the remainder of the year.
The meeting was attended by Vice Chairmen Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm, Trần Phước Hiền and Nguyễn Công Hoàng, along with leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and localities.
In his opening remarks, Chairman Giang urged departments and localities to focus discussions on evaluating task implementation in October and the first ten months of 2025, identifying difficulties and proposing concrete solutions to fulfil socio-economic targets for the year — particularly those related to budget revenue and public investment disbursement.
According to the provincial Department of Finance, Quảng Ngãi’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) was estimated at VNĐ 23.88 trillion in the third quarter, up 8.4 per cent year-on-year, and VNĐ 65.45 trillion for the first nine months, up 10.15 per cent.
The industrial production index grew 10.81 per cent, while CPI rose modestly by 0.39 per cent in October and 3.23 per cent on average over ten months.
State budget revenue for October was estimated at VNĐ 3.53 trillion, bringing the ten-month total to VNĐ 27.99 trillion, equal to 75.3 per cent of the annual target and up 6.4 per cent year-on-year.
As of October 31, public investment disbursement reached VNĐ 4.88 trillion, or 61 per cent of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister.
Administrative reform also recorded progress, with over 17,800 administrative dossiers received through the provincial public service portal, 98.4 per cent of which were processed on time or ahead of schedule, and 94.8 per cent submitted online.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang highlighted the heavy workload in the last two months of 2025 and called for all departments and localities to act decisively to meet socio-economic goals despite recent natural disasters that caused severe economic damage.
He stressed that accelerating public investment disbursement remains the top priority from now until the end of the year, emphasizing the need to avoid delays and backlogs.
The Chairman also urged strict budget management, effective expenditure control, stronger inspection of major projects, and close monitoring of the two-tier local government model to promptly address implementation challenges, ensuring stable and efficient administration.
