Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has just launched the application of the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS). JDS application for enrollment in 2025 is now open for Vietnamese young and highly capable public employees who are expected to contribute to the socio-economic development of Vietnam.
Within the current framework, JDS Vietnam provides two-year master’s courses (in English) and three-year doctoral courses (in English or Japanese) in various study fields including Economics, Urban Development/Transport, Energy, Agriculture, Environment, Human Resource Development for Industrial Development, Health Care/Social Security, Legal System, and Public Administration at Japanese universities.
JDS program is the full scholarship including tuition fee, flight tickets, monthly scholarship and the other allowances funded by the Government of Japan through Official Development Assistance (ODA).
The application deadline is 17:00 March 19th, 2025 for Master’s program or 17:00 April 11th, 2025 for Doctoral program. At maximum 45 final successful master candidates and 5 final successful doctoral candidates will be selected by May 2025 and dispatched to Japan in August 2025 tentatively. The JDS has been started in Viet Nam since 2000. Up to the present, 831 Master's Fellows and 26 Doctoral Fellows have been sent to Japan.
As assigned by the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Home Affairs in coordination with the Department of Education and Training informs the above Scholarship Program to agencies, units, universities and colleges in the province for research and registration to participate.
