VinaCapital Foundation with the Congenital Heart Program in Quảng Ngãi province

VinaCapital Foundation and Quảng Ngãi Provincial Children's Fund – Quảng Ngãi provincial Health Department have just signed an aid agreement on the Congenital Heart Screening Program and the surgery and cardiovascular intervention costs for children under 16 years old from poor households and difficult circumstances in Quảng Ngãi province.

Accordingly, the VinaCapital Foundation will donate an amount of US$ 122,000 (equivalent to about VNĐ 3,050,000,000) to implement the Congenital Heart Surgery Support Program and the Congenital Heart Screening Support Program in the province from 2025 to 2027.

Specifically, the VinaCapital Foundation funds the congenital heart surgery program, including: Surgery sponsorship costs for 3 years (2025-2027) for about 120 cases (about VNĐ 2,550,000,000); the funding for re-examination costs and scholarships for children who have received heart surgery support (VNĐ 50,000,000). For heart surgery costs, the VinaCapital Foundation sponsors about 40 per cent of the total surgery costs.

For the congenital heart disease screening program, each year, the Organization sponsors screening for about 10,000 children with congenital heart disease or suspected congenital heart disease in the province. The funding for 3 years (2025-2027) is about VNĐ 450,000,000.

Currently, Quảng Ngãi Provincial Children's Fund is coordinating with relevant functional agencies to carry out the procedures to advise the Provincial People's Committee to approve the Program as soon as possible.
