QUẢNG NGÃI, Oct 10 — Authorities in Quảng Ngãi province held a meeting with more than 250 businesses and investors on Thursday to mark the 21st anniversary of Việt Nam Entrepreneurs’ Day, recognising contributions to the province’s economic growth.
Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hồ Văn Niên, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyẽn Đức Tuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, PPC’s Vice Chairpersons, and leaders of departments, localities attended the event.
The event aimed to honour outstanding companies and entrepreneurs for their performance and support for Quảng Ngãi’s socio-economic progress.
PPC’s Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền praised the role of the business community and called on local enterprises to expand operations, strengthen their brands and work with the province toward sustainable development.
He noted that despite challenges following the administrative merger and global economic uncertainties, Quảng Ngãi’s socio-economic performance in the first nine months of 2025 achieved positive results.
The province’s GRDP increased by 10.15 per cent — ranking first among six provinces and cities in the region and fifth nationwide.
Industrial production rose by 10.22 per cent year-on-year, tourism saw more than 3.8 million visitors (up 17 percent), and total social investment capital reached VNĐ 62.55 trillion, equivalent to 87.24 per cent of the yearly plan.
Vice Chairman Hiền praised the resilience and contributions of the business community to the province’s development, particularly in boosting budget revenue, ensuring social welfare, and maintaining stability and security.
He called on enterprises to align their development strategies with the province’s socio-economic orientations, foster innovation and digital transformation, strengthen cooperation — especially among local businesses — and continue to grow sustainably while contributing more to provincial and national development.
The province reaffirmed its commitment to building an open, transparent, and business-friendly investment environment, enhancing administrative reform, and supporting enterprises in overcoming challenges to expand production and investment.
At the event, representatives from the Quảng Ngãi Business Association, the Young Entrepreneurs Association, Hòa Phát Dung Quất Steel JSC, and Kingmaker III (Vietnam) Footwear Co., Ltd shared experiences in production, innovation, and efforts to overcome challenges.
On this occasion, the Provincial People’s Committee presented Certificates of Merit to enterprises and investors with outstanding achievements in tax compliance, social welfare, and contributions to the province’s socio-economic growth.
