NA deputies meet voters in Ia Chim Commune

The Delegation of the Provincial NA Deputies met voters in Ia Chim Commune on Wednesday, October 8 ahead of the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly.

The delegation was led by U Huấn, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th-tenure NA Deputies’ Delegation and Chairman of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Quảng Ngãi Province.

The meeting was also attended by Y Ngọc, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, along with representatives from provincial departments, agencies, and local voters.

At the meeting, representatives of the Delegation of the Provincial NA Deputies briefed voters on the proposed agenda of the upcoming NA session and reported on the delegation’s activities from the beginning of the term.

Voters in Ia Chim Commune expressed their delight at the province’s recent achievements in socio-economic development, administrative reform, and the performance of the two-tier local government system.

They highly appreciated the Party, State, and National Assembly for promulgating and amending key laws such as the Land Law and the Law on Social Insurance, and policies to support agricultural production and digital transformation.

Local voters also raised practical concerns related to daily life, including environmental pollution from untreated household waste and livestock byproducts.  They also requested authorities and sectors to pay attention to repairing the road from Rơ Wăk Village (former Dak Năng Commune) to Village 7 (former Đoàn Kết Commune), which has seriously deteriorated, and  upgrading the local electricity network to better serve production needs.

Voters also mentioned issues concerning compensation and site clearance, livelihood support policies, and the unstable prices of agricultural products, particularly durian and rubber.

In addition, voters proposed installing more public loudspeakers in Klau Lak Village to improve information access for residents in remote areas.

He also encouraged farmers to align production with market demand and local conditions.

For issues within provincial jurisdiction, he requested functional agencies to promptly address them, while those beyond local authority would be compiled by the Delegation of the Provincial NA Deputies and forwarded to relevant central agencies for review and resolution.
