NA deputies meet voters in Sơn Linh Commune

A group of lawmakers from Quảng Ngãi Province met with local voters in Sơn Linh Commune on Wednesday ahead of the upcoming 10th session of the 15th National Assembly, state media reported.

Delegation Group No. 2 included Colonel Trần Thị Thu Phước, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, Vũ Thị Liên Hương, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training, and Lương Văn Hùng, Deputy Chief Judge of the Provincial People’s Court.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyễn Công Hoàng, attended the meeting along with representatives of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Quảng Ngãi Province and leaders of relevant departments and localities.

At the meeting, the NA Delegation informed voters about the agenda and main contents of the upcoming 10th NA session, scheduled to take place from October 20 to December 12, 2025.

The session will review legislative work, socio-economic and state budget matters, supervision activities, and other major national issues.

Voters in Sơn Linh Commune expressed satisfaction and confidence in the country’s socio-economic achievements and appreciated the Party and State’s welfare policies, especially the waiver of tuition fees for general education and the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Local voters proposed that the authorities invest in building bridges across the Trà Khúc River connecting Làng Trá to Làng Lùng and Kà La Village to Rê Village, construct additional schools, particularly a high school in the commune, open a bus route linking Sơn Linh with neighbouring communes, and build anti-erosion embankments along both sides of the Trà Khúc River at the commune centre.

They also asked for the prompt issuance of land use right certificates (red books) for long term residential and forestry land.

Other recommendations included increased investment in educational infrastructure, ensuring affordable and suitable textbooks for students in disadvantaged areas, strengthening grassroots and preventive healthcare, enhancing infrastructure and digital transformation, and promoting administrative reform and transparency in land management.

Addressing the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Công Hoàng acknowledged the voters’ feedback and directed relevant provincial departments to handle issues under their jurisdiction.

He also urged the communal authorities to promptly resolve local matters, effectively implement the two-tier local government model, and maintain close contact with residents to ensure their legitimate rights and promote local socio-economic development.

On behalf of the Delegation of the Provincial NA Deputies, Vũ Thị Liên Hương appreciated the constructive opinions of voters and urged local authorities to continue engaging with residents and addressing legitimate petitions in a timely manner.

She affirmed that issues beyond local authority would be compiled and submitted to the National Assembly and relevant central agencies for review and resolution.
