On April 23, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee received funding support for eliminating makeshift and dilapidated houses in the province, supported by the Green Leaf Fund, Dong Cao Pagoda, Thái Bình province.
At the fund-receiving ceremony, representatives of the Green Leaf Fund presented a symbolic board of VNĐ 12 billion to localities in Quảng Ngãi province to implement the program to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated houses.
Specifically, Trà Bồng district received VNĐ 9.5 billion, Sơn Tây district received VNĐ 1 billion, and Sơn Hà district received VNĐ 1.5 billion.
Secretary of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân thanked the Green Leaf Fund for its support and sharing with the poor in Quảng Ngãi province.
Vân added that the Green Leaf Fund's contribution will help the province complete the program to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated houses for the poor this year.
In the past 2 years, the Green Leaf Fund has accompanied Quảng Ngãi province in implementing social security programs. The unit has supported Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the province by providing monthly financial support.
So far, the province has eliminated more than 4,000 makeshift and dilapidated houses. Currently, more than 6,000 houses need to be repaired or rebuilt, Vân has informed.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Quảng Ngãi province awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Green Leaf Fund for their contribution to the program to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated houses in the province.
