Currently, the province is building a project to develop Ly Son district into a sea and island tourism center by 2030, with a vision to 2045 according to Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated November 3, 2022 of the Politburo on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the North Central and Central Coast regions by 2030, with a vision to 2045.
In order to achieve the above goal, Ly Son district has promoted investment in developing tourism products. Since 2022, the district has effectively implemented the community tourism model, agricultural and rural tourism, and high-tech agricultural tourism.
With 118 accommodation establishments, four travel businesses, six national relics, two national intangible cultural heritages, 19 provincial relics, along with beautiful natural landscapes, Ly Son district has become the leading unit of Quang Ngai tourism industry.
In recent years, the district has attracted a lot of visitors. The number of tourists coming to Ly Son is constantly increasing. In 2024, the district has welcomed more than 181,000 visitors, including over 2,000 international visitors, an increase of 6.5% compared to 2023.
