On February 10, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Dang Ngoc Huy, Acting as Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of key provincial projects, the period of 2024 - 2025 (the Steering Committee) chaired the 6th meeting of the Steering Committee.
The meeting discussed the implementation of various key projects in the province, including the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway, Hoang Sa - Doc Soi road, Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal route, Tra Khuc 3 bridge, and others.
According to the report, most of the projects have been implemented more slowly than planned.
The delay is attributed to issues in land use planning, determination of land prices, and complications in compensation and resettlement plans.
Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Dang Ngoc Huy emphasized that on February 5, 2025, the Government issued Resolution No. 25 on growth targets.
In particular, it required sectors and localities to ensure overall growth for the whole country.
In order to achieve the target of the province's public investment capital disbursement rate in 2025 according to the national average, at least 95 per cent of the budget be disbursed at the request of the Prime Minister.
The Deputy Secretary proposed that the Traffic Works Construction Investment Project Management Board and the provincial office coordinate in assigning tasks related to land use plans and pricing for different areas.
The Standing Deputy Secretary suggested amending the previous decision to regulate compensation and resettlement procedures.
He also emphasized that departments and localities promptly carry out the assigned tasks to ensure successful public investment capital disbursement in 2025.
