On February 13, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Phien chaired a meeting with the Provincial General Hospital on its operation in recent times.
The Provincial General Hospital is a Grade I hospital with more than 900 staff and workers, including 214 doctors, 50 pharmacists, 410 nurses and more than 200 staff and technicians.
The hospital has more than 1,000 patient beds.
In 2024, the Hospital performed 32 advanced and new techniques, with more than 29,400 surgeries.

At the meeting, the hospital’s leaders recommended that the province pay attention to upgrading and expanding the hospital, investing in purchasing new equipment for high-tech diagnostics to meet the increasing demand for treatment and reduce the need of transfering patients to higher levels.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Phien acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Provincial General Hospital in recent times, contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people, and improving people's satisfaction.
The PPC’s Vice Chairman requested the Hospital’s leaders to promote digital transformation, adjust and arrange the hospital’s departments, arrange a reasonable patient beds, create a friendly space for patients, contributing to increasing revenue and improving income for staff, doctors and nurses.

The PPC’s Vice Chairman asked the Provincial General Hospital to review necessary equipment and coordinate with the Department of Health to urgently implement the investment project to repair, renovate, upgrade and construct facilities and purchase medical equipment according to regulations.
The Department of Health was asked to direct the implementation of digital transformation for the General Hospital, especially the electronic medical record software, ensuring data security.
