The Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission held a conference in Hà Nội on October 1 to announce the Politburo’s decision on personnel work.
Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Organisation Commission Lê Minh Hưng chaired the event.
At the conference, Hoàng Đăng Quang, member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Head of the Central Organisation Commission, announced the Politburo’s decision to relieve Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee, from her positions in the Quảng Ngãi Party Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure, and appoint her as Deputy Head of the Central Organisation Commission.
Speaking at the event, Lê Minh Hưng stressed that the appointment aims to strengthen the leadership capacity of the Central Organisation Commission as the Party prepares for upcoming Central Committee meetings and the 14th National Party Congress.
He highlighted Vân’s strong political foundation, extensive experience in Party building, and outstanding leadership during her tenure as Secretary of the Quảng Ngãi Party Committee.
Hưng also underscored that the appointment reflects the Politburo’s trust in Vân’s capabilities and marks an effort to promote female leaders to key positions in the Party’s strategic advisory bodies.
Vân expressed gratitude to the Politburo and Party leaders for their trust, affirming that the new role is both an honour and a responsibility.
She pledged to work closely with the commission’s leadership and staff to fulfill assigned tasks.
Born in 1974 in Quảng Ngãi province, Vân holds a Master’s degree in Literary Theory and an advanced level in political theory.
She is currently a member of the 13th Party Central Committee and previously served as Secretary of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee from 2020.
