On September 23, the Provincial Party Standing Committee of Quảng Ngãi held a working session with the Bình Sơn Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR).

Attending the meeting were Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; U Huấn, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and Chairman of the Provincial Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyễn Đức Tuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Đinh Thị Hồng Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Trần Phước Hiền, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; along with members of the Standing Committee and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.
According to BSR’s report, by the third quarter of 2025, cumulative production reached over 102.7 million tons, consumption exceeded 102.3 million tons, revenue surpassed VNĐ 1,800 trillion, with more than VNĐ 244.9 trillion contributed to the state budget, and VNĐ 911 billion allocated to social welfare programs.

The Dung Quất Refinery Upgrade and Expansion Project, designated as a national key project in the energy sector, is scheduled for completion and operation in the first quarter of 2028.
Secretary Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân acknowledged and commended the contributions of BSR’s leadership and employees, emphasizing that the Company’s growth reaffirms the position of the energy industry and plays a vital role in the socio-economic development of the province.

She requested the Provincial People’s Committee and relevant departments to urgently address obstacles related to planning, land, and construction materials, while coordinating with central ministries to propose mechanisms and policies to promote the development of the National Oil Refining and Energy Center at Dung Quất Economic Zone.
