Quảng Ngãi has set a target for its Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) to grow by at least 10 per cent annually during 2026–2030, according to the Resolution adopted at the 1st Provincial Party Congress (2025–2030 term).
The 1st Provincial Party Congress (2025–2030 term)
The Congress agreed on five guiding viewpoints for the new phase, focusing on building a strong and transparent Party and political system, strengthening public trust, promoting national unity, mobilizing resources for socio-economic development, and driving breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The province also aims to adapt to climate change, safeguard the environment, ensure national defense and security, and improve people’s living standards.
By 2030, Quảng Ngãi strives to become a fairly developed province and an important growth pole in the Central Highlands region.
Key targets include: raising per capita GRDP to US$ 6,900–7,000, increasing labor productivity by 8.5–9.5 per cent per year, ensuring the digital economy accounts for at least 30 per cent of GRDP, and attracting over VNĐ 560 trillion in investment. The industrial, construction, and service sectors are expected to contribute 75–76 per cent of GRDP.
On social development, the province aims for 13.1 doctors and 37.5 hospital beds per 10,000 people, with national standards met by 65 per cent of preschools, 80 per cent of primary and lower secondary schools, and over 73 per cent of upper secondary schools.
By 2030, the share of agricultural workers will drop below 38.7 per cent, trained workers with degrees or certificates will exceed 30.6 per cent, and poverty will be eliminated.
