Vice Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People's Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng chairs a meeting to review the implementation progress of the River View Urban Area project in Sơn Tịnh Commune.
QUẢNG NGÃI — Quảng Ngãi authorities on July 22 reviewed the progress of land clearance and compensation for the River View Urban Area project, urging closer coordination among agencies and local authorities to keep the project on schedule.
The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People's Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng, with representatives from provincial departments, Sơn Tịnh Commune and the project investor in attendance.
According to the investor, Thịnh Vượng Quảng Ngãi Co., Ltd., the provincial government approved the investor selection results in May 2026.

The Department of Construction and the company subsequently completed negotiations and signed the project implementation contract.
For land acquisition, Sơn Tịnh Commune People's Committee has issued land recovery notices and publicly announced the acquisition plan covering 821 land plots owned by 380 households and one organisation eligible for compensation and site clearance.
The investor is working with local authorities to review cadastral records, verify land ownership and legal status, and determine the exact boundaries of affected land parcels.
However, the company reported delays in site surveys and asset inventories because some residents have yet to cooperate, slowing the preparation of compensation and resettlement plans.
The investor requested stronger support from provincial authorities and relevant agencies to accelerate the process.

Concluding the meeting, Nguyễn Công Hoàng acknowledged the efforts of the investor and relevant agencies, noting that the project had made encouraging progress despite being launched only recently.
He instructed the investor to promptly complete all required procedures and work closely with local authorities to speed up land acquisition and site clearance in line with the approved schedule.
The Vice Chairman also called on provincial departments and local authorities to strengthen coordination, promptly resolve implementation issues and enhance public communication to build consensus among affected residents, ensuring the project is carried out efficiently and in accordance with regulations.
