Recently, VinaCapital Foundation in collaboration with the Provincial Children's Fund has handed over a water filtration system to Tra Thanh Kindergarten, Tra Thanh Commune, Tra Bong district.
The water filtration system was installed at the Go village kindergarten, Tra Thanh Kindergarten. The water filtration system is worth nearly 124 million VND, sponsored by Scenic Group under the Clean Water program of VinaCapital Foundation.
The installation of the water filtration system helps 185 students and 17 teachers at the Go village school to drink clean water directly, ensuring hygiene, meeting physical, chemical and microbiological criteria according to the Ministry of Health's direct drinking water standards.
Previously, VinaCapital Foundation’s Clean Water program in collaboration with Quang Ngai Province Children Protection Fund and the sponsor – Tetra Pak Vietnam, handed over three water filtration systems with funding of 250 million VND to three remote kindergartens in Tra Bong District, Quang Ngai Province.
Tra Bong is one of the 74 poorest districts in the country, according to Decision 353/TTg of the Prime Minister in 2022. It is a mountainous region with harsh weather conditions. Many areas in Tra Bong district face a shortage of surface freshwater, while the groundwater is contaminated with heavy metals, causing significant difficulties in accessing clean water for the local community. Supporting challenging areas like Tra Bong is essential to ensure the provision of clean and hygienic water for the residents.
