Authorized by the provincial leadership, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phạm Thị Trung chaired a press briefing on July 30 to provide updates on Quảng Ngãi’s socio-economic performance during the first seven months of 2026 and outline key tasks and solutions for the remainder of the year.

During the reporting period, the province recorded strong economic growth. The industrial production index rose by more than 14 per cent, driven primarily by a 15.2 per cent increase in manufacturing output.
Agriculture, forestry and fisheries remained stable, while total retail sales and consumer service revenue reached VNĐ86.5 trillion, up 15.27 per cent year-on-year.
The province welcomed more than 4.49 million visitors, a 74 per cent increase, generating tourism revenue of nearly VNĐ4 trillion, equivalent to 95 per cent of the annual target.
State budget revenue was estimated at VNĐ20.834 trillion, achieving 61.5 per cent of the annual estimate, while public investment disbursement reached approximately VNĐ2.383 trillion as of July 23.
The province also reported positive progress in culture, education, healthcare, social welfare, science and technology, digital transformation, and national defense and security.
At the press conference, representatives of provincial departments and agencies addressed questions from the media on issues including land valuation, measures to improve the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), shortages of construction materials, transport infrastructure projects, irrigation safety, automatic environmental monitoring systems, and the operation of the Trà Khúc River barrage.

Concluding the event, Director Phạm Thị Trung acknowledged the media's continued support in promoting the province's development achievements and called for closer cooperation in communicating Party guidelines, State policies, and Quảng Ngãi’s investment potential, strengths and development opportunities.

She also affirmed that issues raised by the press would be consolidated and reported to the provincial authorities for timely consideration and resolution.
