Quảng Ngãi - Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang on August 12 chaired a meeting with provincial departments, agencies, and committee members to discuss matters under the committee’s authority. Vice Chairpersons Y Ngọc, Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm, and Trần Phước Hiền also attended.
The meeting approved the report to the Ministry of Finance on growth scenarios, tasks, and solutions to achieve Quảng Ngãi’s 2025 GRDP growth target of 10 per cent.
In the first half of 2025, the province’s GRDP was estimated to grow by 11.51 per cent year-on-year, with agriculture–forestry–fishery up 3.53 per cent, industry–construction up 19.32 per cent, services up 8.33 per cent, and taxes on products up 8.88 per cent.
Under Government Resolution No. 226/NQ-CP, Quảng Ngãi’s 2025 GRDP growth target is 10 per cent, requiring an 8.8 per cent increase in the second half of the year.
To contribute to the national GDP growth goal of 8.3–8.5 per cent set by the Prime Minister, the province’s growth scenario for the second half and the full year includes agriculture–forestry–fishery up 4.18 per cent, industry–construction up 15.03 per cent, services up 7.57 per cent, and taxes on products up 8.91 per cent.
Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang instructed relevant departments to closely follow the growth scenario, promptly address obstacles—especially in key sectors such as industry and services—and proactively propose measures to mobilize and use resources effectively.
He stressed close coordination among agencies to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of 2025 socio-economic development tasks and targets.
The meeting also discussed funding for housing for officials under the management of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and financial support for staff from the former Kon Tum provincial administrative units who are now working at the new Quảng Ngãi provincial administrative center after the recent administrative reorganization.
