Quảng Ngãi - Prime Minister, Phạm Minh Chính, on August 7 chaired the Government’s regular meeting for July 2025, held both in-person and online with ministries and centrally governed provinces and cities.
According to the Ministry of Finance, Vietnam’s economy maintained its growth momentum in the first seven months of 2025.
Macroeconomic stability was preserved, inflation remained under control, and key economic balances were ensured.
The average Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 3.26 per cent year-on-year.
Business and production activities continued to grow positively. Agriculture and services sustained steady growth.
The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) rose by 8.6 per cent, while exports increased by 14.8 per cent.
Retail sales and consumer service revenues grew by 9.3 per cent, and international arrivals reached 12.23 million—up 22.5 per cent from the same period last year.
By the end of July, the disbursement rate of public investment reached nearly 44 per cent of the government’s annual plan.
State budget revenue reached 80.2 per cent of the annual estimate, up 27.8 per cent year-on-year.
Cultural and social sectors received strong attention; social welfare was ensured; the people's living standards improved; and national security, social order, and foreign affairs were strengthened.
In Quảng Ngãi, the economy remained on a stable growth track during the first seven months of 2025.
Industrial production showed signs of recovery, with key industries growing steadily.
Commerce, services, transport, warehousing, tourism, and related revenues all experienced noticeable growth.
State budget revenue reached 51.7 per cent of the provincial estimate, and public investment disbursement was estimated at 58 per cent of the allocated plan.
Efforts to streamline organizational structures and reduce staffing were effectively implemented.
Social welfare policies were timely and well-executed. National defense and public order were maintained.
Concluding the session, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính praised the efforts of ministries and localities for contributing to the country’s positive economic performance.
He called for increased oversight and resolution of challenges in implementing the two-tier local government system, especially in administrative procedures for citizens and businesses.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need to strengthen institutional capacity, ensure proper staffing and resources, and stay adaptive and responsive to global and domestic developments to sustain socio-economic growth.
He also urged accelerated progress on national key projects, aiming for full disbursement of public investment by year-end.
Ministries and localities were instructed to resolve long-standing obstacles, especially in education and healthcare, and to combat smuggling, counterfeiting, and intellectual property violations.
Attention was also called to social and cultural development, environmental protection, climate change response, and continued efforts to safeguard national defense, security, and public order.
