The Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee holds a meeting to discuss and decide on a number of important issues
QUẢNG NGÃI — The Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee held a meeting on September 4 to discuss and decide on a number of important issues, including the investment policy for the Quảng Ngãi–Kon Tum Expressway, the section from Quảng Ngãi to Đăk Hà.
The meeting was chaired by Hồ Văn Niên, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; U Huấn, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyễn Đức Tuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; and Nguyễn Đức Tâm, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.
The meeting brought together members of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, members of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of provincial departments, agencies and local administrations.
Key policies for the new development period
In his opening remarks, Secretary Hồ Văn Niên said the meeting would consider and decide on a number of important issues, including the concretization of resolutions and conclusions of the Party Central Committee, adjustments to the working regulations and the full-term inspection and supervision programme of the Provincial Party Committee.
Particular attention was given to the investment policy for the Quảng Ngãi–Kon Tum Expressway, the section connecting Quảng Ngãi with Đăk Hà.
The Secretary stressed that the issues discussed and decided at the meeting would have significance not only for the 2025–2030 term but also for the province’s development in the years ahead.
He called on members of the Provincial Party Committee to uphold their sense of responsibility, engage in thorough discussion and contribute to ensuring that the meeting achieves its objectives.
New development orientations

At the meeting, delegates discussed and approved three action programmes to implement resolutions of the 3rd Plenum of the 14th Party Central Committee.
These include a programme to implement Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW on renewing Việt Nam’s development model; Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW on building Việt Nam into a strong maritime nation; and Resolution No. 21-NQ/TW on orientations for amending the Land Law and related legislation.
The meeting also approved three plans covering the development of a disciplined, safe, civilized and harmonious society; implementation of the national security strategy; and environmental protection and proactive response to climate change.
In addition, the Provincial Party Committee approved adjustments to its working regulations and full-term inspection and supervision programme, as well as pilot schemes to establish Party organizations within the Provincial People’s Council and the Provincial Việt Nam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.
Quảng Ngãi–Kon Tum expressway
A major focus of the meeting was the investment policy for the Quảng Ngãi–Kon Tum Expressway, Quảng Ngãi–Đăk Hà section, which is planned to stretch approximately 136km.
The project is expected to help expand development space, strengthen regional connectivity and create new momentum for socio-economic development.

Secretary Hồ Văn Niên asked relevant Party organizations, agencies and local administrations to promptly translate the decisions adopted at the meeting into specific programmes and implementation plans.
He also called for proactive steps to be taken for the next stages of the Quảng Ngãi–Đăk Hà expressway project, emphasizing the importance of close coordination among relevant agencies.
The project is expected to improve connectivity between Quảng Ngãi and the Central Highlands, facilitate the movement of people and goods, and contribute to stronger regional links.
The meeting reaffirmed Quảng Ngãi’s determination to concretize major Party policies through specific development programmes and projects, while creating new foundations for growth during the 2025–2030 term and beyond.
