QUẢNG NGÃI — Quảng Ngãi Province has urged investors and relevant agencies to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital and the implementation of infrastructure projects in the province's eastern region to meet the 2026 targets.
The directive was issued at a meeting on July 15 afternoon chaired by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng, who heads Task Force No. 2 overseeing public investment projects in the area.
In 2026, projects managed by investors under Task Force No. 2 were allocated nearly VNĐ3.989 trillion in public investment capital, including VNĐ50 billion from the central budget and VNĐ3.939 trillion from the local budget.
As of July 9, the investors had disbursed 25.4 per cent of the assigned capital, equivalent to 26.7 per cent of the adjusted plan after a five per cent saving from the local budget.
Among the investors under the task force, 42 recorded disbursement rates equal to or above the national average, while 20 remained below the average.

Concluding the meeting, Hoàng stressed that limited time remained to fulfil this year's disbursement targets, while the rainy and storm season was approaching and a substantial volume of capital had yet to be released.
He urged investors to strengthen leadership and accountability, review each project individually and adopt practical solutions to accelerate implementation and capital disbursement.
He also instructed project owners to promptly address shortcomings and resolve bottlenecks, particularly those related to land acquisition and site clearance.
Issues beyond their authority should be reported without delay so that competent agencies can provide timely solutions.
The Vice Chairman called on investors to closely supervise contractors, ensuring sufficient manpower and equipment are mobilised to take advantage of favourable weather conditions while maintaining construction quality.
He also requested timely payment for completed work and proactive reviews to reallocate capital from projects with slow implementation or limited disbursement capacity to projects capable of using the funds more effectively.
In addition, Hoàng required agencies to strictly comply with reporting regulations by providing comprehensive updates on difficulties facing each project, especially those with low disbursement rates.
He urged closer coordination with the regional State Treasury to promptly update disbursement data and ensure public investment payments are processed in accordance with regulations.
The Department of Home Affairs was assigned to monitor the performance of provincial departments, sectors and local authorities to help ensure the province achieves its 2026 public investment disbursement targets.
